On Tuesday, we will be talking about our online identity, with the aim of creating an internet where we are free to be ourselves. Through our stories about Smartie the penguin and Digi Duck, we will be discussing how to stay safe and make the right choices when using the internet.
We will also be learning about different forms of online communication. The children will be looking back through their water investigations and sharing their findings in an email to Mister Noah.
In maths, we will be using our addition and pattern making skills to solve some of Mister Noah's maths problems.

Trips
We will be visiting Bristol Aquarium on Friday 6th March. A letter will be sent tomorrow with more details. We need some helpers to support us on the trip.
We are also going to be setting up a fish tank in our class after half term. On Wednesday 26th February, I will be taking the children over to Pets at Home to learn more about how to care for a fish before we buy our very own to take care of back in class.
We will be going over to the pet shop in groups throughout the day and need some helpers to accompany us on each walk.
Times will be: 9.45 - 10.45am
11.15 - 12.15
2pm-3pm
If you are able to help us with any of these trips, please come and see me ASAP?
A few changes
There will be a few changes to PE and reading after half term. Your child will now be given a set PE and reading day.
PE
We no longer need to keep PE kits in school. Instead, on their PE day, please can your child wear navy or black jogging bottoms and trainers to school together with their school polo shirt and jumper? I will send home PE kits this week, but we will keep the spare clothes.
Reading books
Your child will read with myself or Miss Key on their allocated reading day and their book will now be changed for a new one on this day. They will no longer need to bring their reading bags every day, only on their set reading day. It is vital they have their reading bags in school on this day to ensure they have a new book to take home.
The online reading books will continue every other week.
I will send a letter out by the end of this week with their PE and reading days.
If you have any questions, please come and see me?
