Hope you all had a great half term and that the children have re-charged their batteries before another busy and exciting half term.

Snack money of £8 is now due. Prompt payment would be appreciated.

Over the next two weeks all of our activities will be related to the Hindu Festival Diwali. They will include:

·         Listening to the story or Rama & Sita. Then sequencing pictures from the story before re-enacting it using masks.

·         Big Art - Making big Rangoli patterns outside, using the Autumn leaves to help

·         Choosing a favourite Rangoli pattern on a biscuit, before re-creating their own

·         Choosing a favourite Mendhi pattern on a paper hand. Explaining why it is their favourite before re-creating their own

·         Symmetrical Firework pictures

·         Counting the number of heads on the 10 headed monster, that is in the story of Rama & Sita – don’t panic it won’t give them nightmares!! Children will be encouraged to add 2 numbers together using the monster to help

·         Making divas out of paper clay. Children will be encouraged to roll, press and mold the paper clay into the desired shape

We will also start practising songs for out Christmas Concert – it will be here before we know it!
