Blywddyn Newydd Dda! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas and a very happy new year to you. A huge thank you for all the lovely gifts and kind wishes we received at the end of term : )

I can't wait to hear all about your Christmas news. Don't forget, we have an INSET day tomorrow and the children will start back on Tuesday 7th January.

Our theme this term is 'World of Water'. We had an immersion morning at the end of last term and have planned some great activities based on the children's ideas. Lots of learning and fun ahead for 2020!

We will be starting this week by sharing and writing about our Christmas news and learning all about the features of Winter. We love being outside and lots of our learning is done in the outdoors, so please ensure your child has a coat and appropriate clothing for the colder weather. If they took their wellies home before Christmas, please can you send them back in ready for our adventures? We had lots of jumpers and cardigans left in our box at the end of term without any names. Please can you ensure all items of clothing are clearly labelled, including shoes?

In the mornings, myself, Miss Key and/or Mrs.Hargreaves will continue to welcome the children at both reception doors. By using two doors, we ensure a smooth and quick transition for the children, ready to start our day of learning. If you need to discuss anything with me, I am free most afternoons after school and can arrange a time to meet.

Our Nursery friends who turned four before Christmas will now be staying full time and will be joining us along with Mrs.Vowles in the afternoons. They will go home together with the children from Miss Key's home group carpet.

I will post our termly newsletter on here by the end of this week with further information about what will be happening in Y Garth this term.

Enjoy your extra day off tomorrow and we will see you all on Tuesday.

Diolch
Mrs.Dollman, Miss Key and Mrs.Hargreaves
