Dear Parents,

Tuesday 15th October is Shwmae Day in Wales.  It's a perfect opportunity to use and develop our Welsh language skills and to learn more about the Welsh culture.
Last year was great fun and we will once again celebrate this occasion as a school.

Pupils will take part in Welsh themed activities in their classes throughout the day.  It is also Health and Well-being Week, so afternoon activities will focus on this and will involve an aspect of Welsh.

There will be non-school uniform on this day but we ask that pupils wear something that has the welsh colours - red, green or white.

Here are some vocabulary that you can use at home to join in our celebrations with us.

Bore da - good morning
Prynhawn da - good afternoon
Sut wyt ti? - how are you?
Diolch - thank you
Os gwelwch yn dda - please
Cinio - dinners
Brechdannu - sandwiches
Ysgol - school
Nos da - good night

Diolch
