Through the Keyhole
Something very exciting happened in Y Garth last week. I'm sure the children have told you all about it! A magic door has appeared in our classroom! We have discussed our ideas about what could be behind the door and what the children think they would see if they looked through the keyhole.
We have shared our ideas and discussed how we are going to find out. We've had dragons, princesses, giants, fairies,elves and lots more, so we have decided to base our activities around the theme of fairy tales and castles. Each week, we will be exploring some of the questions the children have asked to lead our learning.
We think someone lives behind the door, so we have decided to start by finding out all about houses. Our first question is: What are our houses like?
Home-Learning Task
Go for a walk and have a look at the different types of houses where you live.
Look at and talk about the different features of your house.
Please can you bring in a photo of your house by Monday? We will be using these for our literacy activities next week.
