Count objects around your home and write the corresponding digit.
Write about your favourite farm yard animal. What animal is it? Why do you like it? Draw a picture of it.
Obviously the amount of writing depends on your child’s writing ability. Please let them do it independently whether it is making those all important first marks as a writer or constructing sentences. I know what stage they are at and this exercise is about enjoying the process at home. If your child refuses to write for you then there’s no problem with it, just let me know.
