We are going to practise making patterns as we are able to recognise them and say what's next but it's harder learning how to make them independently.
CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT.
Yesterday's Creative Development test prints based on Wassy Kandinsky's Art work- Circles.
Today's groups test prints.
FINE MOTOR CONTROL DEVELOPMENT.
Miss Key takes a fine motor control group every day for the children who need to develop their skills. Today all the children had the opportunity to join in and they really enjoyed it. Here's a little video which captures the warm down at the end. Ill try and capture the dough part for you the next time they do it as its so lovely to see the children enjoying the activity.
'Dough Disco' is a fun activity which combines the use of play dough with a series of hand and finger exercises designed to improve fine muscle control. The movements develop children's fine and gross motor dexterity, hand-eye coordination and self-esteem.
Have a lovely weekend and keep practising those sounds and high frequency words! Some children will soon be moving on to reading books with words as they are working so hard at learning their sounds and words at home.
Mrs James.
