The Week Ahead

The second week of June is here already! Where does the time go?

In language sessions next week we will be completing our retelling of the story 'Sally and the Limpet'. We will also be reading the book 'The Rainbow Fish' and basing some of our activities around that story.

In mathematics we will be using 2d shapes to make a seaside picture and labelling the shapes used.

Our Knowledge and Understanding of the World will involve us walking around the school grounds and looking for physical changes in our environment that have taken place over the last year.

In PSE we will describe the Rainbow Fish's behaviour at different points in the story and and discuss how it made the other fish feel before recording their feelings on a fortune line.

In creative sessions we will make a special card for Fathers' Day.

We will complete the last session on throwing and catching beanbags in PE.

Our Welsh lessons will involve playing a matching game to learn vocabulary for clothing- cot law/raincoat, welis/wellies, sbectol haul/sunglasses, crys-T/ t shirt, siorts/shorts, - and reading the book 'Dillad Tedi Twt'.

In Forest School those who did not make a rock pool in the Tuff tray last week will do so this week.

ICT will involve making a cover for the story 'The Rainbow Fish' using 2Simple.

Snack money for this half term is now due.

Please remember to bring book bags every day.

There was a little confusion over the homework task set. The instructions should have made it clear that your child was to ask an older relative the question they had thought of about seaside holidays in the past. The relative's response and a picture of the relative should have been recorded on the sheet provided. Apologies for the mistake in the instructions and thank you for the effort you made to complete the task.
