When will it be Spring?

The activities for the week ahead will be based around the season of Spring.

We will read the story 'When will it be Spring?' by Catherine Walters and compose half class poems about Spring in our language sessions.

In mathematics we will be measuring the height of spring flowers using non-standard units and begin to look at time, including the hours on an analogue clock.

PSE will focus on a thinking skill-group memory. Pupils will help each other to draw a simple spring scene.

To develop our knowledge and understanding of the world, we will go on a walk to look for signs of spring and make a factual book about this season.

PE will concentrate on improving our footwork.

We will begin a spring display in our creative sessions and in Forest Schools we will make spring crowns.

Our Welsh language pattern this week is 'Beth wyt ti'n hoffi?'- 'What do you like?'

This week is also waste week and to mark it we will have an afternoon of activities exploring recycling.
