Welcome to Y Garth

A very big welcome to Reception. I hope you all had a fantastic holiday and are ready for a busy term. The children have all settled very well back to school. They are enjoying being the 'big' children in the unit!
A information letter will be handed out tonight informing you of PE days and any other information you require.
Our topic for the term is 'Our Wonderful World of Colour'. We are going to start the term off with the story 'Elmer'.
Activities include:

• Make a textured patch, discussing how different materials feel to help complete a textured patchwork elephant
• to sequence pictures from the story in the correct order and re-tell the story
• make a 2 or 3 sequential pattern using the linking elephants
• circle time - to decide class rules (we will let you know what rules we decide on)
• finding out which two primary colours make a secondary colour
• a problem solving activity relating to 'Elmer'

PE will start next week, the list is on the window informing you which day your child has PE.
If you haven't already done do, please could you pay £8 snack money next week.
