World Book Day

The school celebrates World Book Day on Thursday 4th March. This day highlights the importance of books and reading.
To make the day memorable the children in Class 2 may dress up as any character from the story Where Next, Mr Noah? by Mike Dickinson. As the title suggests the characters are Mr and Mrs Noah, and a variety of animals such as giraffes, elephants, bears, tigers, parrots and many more. The children will listen to the story as one of the activities planned for next week.
During the morning of World Book Day we are inviting parents into the class to read stories of their choice to small groups of children. If you are willing to participate please let us know as soon as possible. The stories do not necessarily have to be in English, so if you speak another language and have picture books suitable for four to five year olds you may consider reading these.
Thank you for supporting us in promoting the importance of reading.
