Home-learning task 20/11/19

Home-Learning Task
We would like the children to help us decorate their reading area in the class. Ask your child to choose their favourite story/book. Look at and talk about the front cover.

Sheets have been sent home today with a book template on them. Please can they create the front cover from their chosen story for us to display in our reading area?
They can choose to draw/decorate it however they like e.g with pens, pencils, crayons, paint, collage etc. Make sure you put the title of the book on your cover and your name on the back. I look forward to seeing them : )

Can you help?
The children will be working together in their design teams to make their castles next week. We desperately need large and small carboard boxes and kitchen roll tubes. If you have any of these that are heading for the recycling, we would be very grateful for them. Please could you send them in to school next Monday for us to use?

Christmas fun
Christmas is fast approaching and we are preparing lots of lovely activities to get us into the Christmas spirit. I have a feeling, there will be a special visitor arriving on the 2nd December (but shhh...don't tell the children!) He will also be bringing a sack along with him that needs to be filled with Christmas stories.

If you want to join in with the Christmas fun, please send to school a Christmas story or two that has been wrapped up in Christmas paper. Everyday we will unwrap a new book and read a Christmas story! Please write your child’s name in the inside of the book so we can send them home once they have been read! Books will need to be sent to school by Friday 29th December
