Croeso nol, welcome back.

A very warm welcome to 'Y Garth'. I hope you have all had a lovely summer holiday and are ready to start the next part of your learning journey with us in Reception. 

A few reminders ready for the first week: 

• The children will start school on Wednesday 4th September. 
• They will enter the class via the Reception door on the main Foundation Phase yard. You will see me waving at the door. 
• They will need: A healthy snack (no nuts). Please ensure snacks are clearly labelled and any small fruit such as grapes and cherry tomatoes are cut in half. Snacks will be kept in our snack boxes in the class.
• A small lunchbox if they are having packed lunch.
• A pair of wellies to be kept in school. 
• A bottle of water if they wish to access throughout the day. Milk will be provided in the morning during snack time.
• Please ensure ALL items including shoes are clearly labelled to avoid any loss or confusion. 
• We kindly ask that no other bags are brought to school as we have limited space in the cloakroom.

The staff working with you child in Reception this year will be:

Mrs.Dollman, Miss Key, Mrs.Hargreaves, Mrs.Ross and Miss Morgan. The children already know the staff well, having worked closely with them last year, so I am confident they will settle quickly into their new class. We ask that the children come in promptly to ensure smooth transition in the mornings. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to come and see me. I am available at the end of most days or alternatively you can make an appointment via the school clerk. 

A termly newsletter will be sent out within the first fortnight with further information about how we learn in Reception, our new topic and how you can help support you child at home.

I am really looking forward to working with you over the next year and can't wait to hear all about your summer holiday news on Wednesday. Enjoy the last few days off : )
