Week 3.

This week we are exploring portraiture. We are looking at portraits from the artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. 

Here’s some of the things we will be doing this week. 

We will be talking about what we see and writing descriptions of his painting ‘Summer.’ 

Learning some information about the artist.

Making pictures influenced by the artists from fruit and vegetables. 

Counting the fruit and vegetables on the painting and making a tally chart. 

Weighing the vegetables and fruit we use to investigate weight- heavy, heavier, heaviest. Light, lighter and lightest. 

Formation of letters and numbers. 

Writing news - sounding out, spelling hf words, including features of a sentence and using the connectives- and, then and because.
