What are we doing over the next two weeks?

Over the next two weeks, we are investigating houses and types of homes we have in Llantrisant.  Below are some of the activities that we will be completing.

Language development

News, labelling a house, writing a fact file about their house.

Mathematical development 

Pictograms, subtraction, CLIC - please help your child learn the facts 'double 1 is 2', 'double 2 is 4', 'half of 2 is 1', 'half of 4 is 2' using counters or any objects at home.

Creative development 

Drawing/painting a picture of their house, making milk carton houses.

Knowledge and understanding of the world

Learning about different types of homes, identifying through photos what type of house they live in.  Go for a walk in the local area to identify the types of homes we have around the school (please keep an eye out for permission slips). Classify photos of homes and explain how they have sorted them.

Personal and social development 

What pets do people keep in their homes? What makes a good pet? How should pets be looked after?

Digital competancies 

Using JIT5 to make pictograms on Hwb.

Welsh Language development 

Practise singing 'pen, ysgwyddau, coesau, traed'.

'Beth sy'n bod?' (What's wrong? What's the matter?) 'Mae ____ tost gyda fi.' Put in a part of the body to answer the question.
