Queen Sparkle's Colour Party

We have worked very hard this term to try and find out answers to our questions about colour. Every time we found out something new, some colour reappeared in Queen Sparkle's kingdom.
This week Queen Sparkle set us our final challenge and she was so impressed she thought we should have a party to celebrate.

Here are some photos from a very busy week.

We used Google to search for the names of certain coloured jewels. We used Google Images to research different crowns and print out our favourite one.  We then drew a crown in that style and added either 10 or 20 jewels. We then needed to use Queen Sparkle's favourite colour jewels to add a repeating pattern to our crown design.

We followed our design to make crowns for the party.

We also made necklaces in repeating patterns to wear to the party.

Earlier in the week we ordered the food we wanted for the party with Miss Key (we chose a sandwich, some crisps, sausages, melon, watermelon and cake!). Before lunch we all helped to make ham sandwiches, yum! We ate our food during the party in the afternoon.

We did lots of action songs and dancing. We laughed...a lot!

As part of our DCF skills, we have started to explore different ways of communicating online so we used 'FaceTime' to show Mrs James our crowns, necklaces and party food. Mrs James didn't want to miss out on the party despite being on holiday (now that's dedication!!!).

So you can see, we have had a very busy time!
Thank you all for your support over this half term. Have a lovely break everyone.

Mrs James and Mrs Farrell
