We have a wonderful week planned which has been guided by the children. This week we are learning all about rainbows. The children were asked during their move up day in July what they would like to learn through this topic. One of the questions they asked was 'How are rainbows made?' This is the question they have chosen to explore this week.
Through all the activities and learning we will be assessing their knowledge and skills for their Compact Profile base assessment.
Queen Sparkle sends us a message.
At the beginning of every theme we introduce a 'hook' this is something

Home Learning:
This week we would like you to help your child to make a rainbow. They could paint one, colour one or make a rainbow collage. Please remember that it is their work and whatever it looks like we will value the work they produce. The learning involved is to know the colours of the rainbow.
Your child's rainbows will be displayed in class so please make them no larger that A4. If you need any assistance with this task then please ask us for help. Please send them in by Wednesday the 19th of September 2018.
This video below is a lovely way to learn about colours.
We will post lots of photographs of our work this week. We hope you find this information helpful.
