We had a lovely time at the beach today. Our children were very well behaved and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
We looked at the features of the environment and discussed what we could see. We played traditional beach games and built sandcastles too. Most of us dipped our toes in the sea.
Our trip will help us with our contrasting environments work. We will be looking at our photos tomorrow and discussing and recording the differences and similarities with a forest environment.
Thanks to our helpers Mrs Wharton and Mrs Chan who accompanied and helped us. We hope you enjoyed it too.
The beach huts were a success because it allowed us to store all our lunches in the cool, provided us with shade and shelter and we had hot and cold water for washing and drinking. If you wish to book one then visit the Vale of Glamorgan council website and search beach hut hire.
We have two pairs of white socks in class. If your child is missing some socks then please let us know.
Mrs James.
