The children learn handwriting formation in a variety of ways.
We run a carousel of activities in order to keep the children interested and offer a variety of experiences.
| Using whiteboards and pens. |
| Overwriting and underwriting in books. |
| Forming letters in other mediums such as shaving foam, sand and paint. |
| Using dough, clay and slime to develop fine motor control development and form letters. |
| Being encouraged to form lines, shapes and letters from a starting point. Here a child is practising the 'get ready line' for pre cursive script from a start dot. |
These are all activities you can do at home as they require very few resources to practise.
