This week.

This week we celebrate Roald Dahl with a variety of learning activities.

Language Development
Listen to the story The Giraffe and The Pelly and Me. 
Make a name for your own sweet shop like the sweetshop in the story 'The Grubber.' 
Make sweets and describe them.
Think of a name for your sweet and write down the name.
Take a photograph of your sweet with an iPad for display. 

Mathematical Development.
Measure the giraffes neck using non standard units and record the amount. 
Count the sweets in the sweatshop and match the correct number to the amount of sweets.
Count the windows in the grand house and write the number down. 

Creative Development.
Paint the characters of the story for display.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World.
ICT. 
Draw an illustration using a paint programme and write the characters name underneath. 

Friday is dressing up as a character from a Roald Dahl character to celebrate the end of Roald Dahl week.
