Homework bags.

The children were all given homework bags this afternoon. The bags contained a Welsh resources pack for the children to keep at home and a welcome letter informing you of what we are doing this term. 

Please return the empty homework bags to school on Monday for the children to recieve their home learning log (home learning book) which will contain their home learning task for next week.

Every Monday the children will be given either a Language or Mathematics task for them to work with you at home. 

Every week the children will be assessed on their sounds and high frequency words and these will be adjusted accordingly depending on their achievements with reading the sounds, high frequency words and books. 

Next week I plan to assess the children's sounds knowledge and how they use a reading book. The children will then be given high frequency words and sounds to learn. When they are ready I will send home a reading book and information on what you can do as a parent to support your child in learning to read. 

After assessing their Maths skills and ability I will provide information on how to support your child with their mathematics development too.
