Our Trip Week

We hope you are enjoying the fine weather this weekend. Let's hope it keeps up for our trip on Wednesday.

Our work this week will be based around the story 'Lost on the Beach'.

In language sessions we will role play the story and think about how Teddy is feeling. Then we will fill in a speech bubble with Teddy's thoughts.

In mathematics we will concentrate on adding by counting on, subtracting by counting back and beginning to know one more and one less than a given number.

During Knowledge and Understanding of the World sessions, we will investigate and describe the properties of natural objects found at the seaside.

Our PSE will focus on devising rules for staying safe at the beach.

In music we wil explore seaside sounds and our PE will be a repeat of last week's skills as we were only able to have one session last week and will only have one this week due to our trip.

A few weeks ago we were due a visit from Welsh is Magic, but unfortunately they were unable to come. However their visit has been rescheduled for this week, so our Welsh sessions will involve singing songs and practising counting in readiness for their performance.

In Forest School we will make a sun tent for Teddy from our story Lost at the Beach.
