The new term sees the start of a new topic, Land Ahoy!
We have some exciting things planned and will be linking our activities to pirates and the seaside.
The introduction to our topic will involve us discussing what we already know about these things and what we would like to find out about them.
Hopefully, we will have two trips during the term, one to Cardiff Bay and one to the seaside.
You will receive information later this week about the Cardiff Bay trip as it will take place early on in the term.
In language work this week we will listen to the story A New Home for a Pirate and label a pirate ship and a house.
Our mathematical sessions will be used to explore 3D shapes.
In Knowledge and Understanding of the World we will think about what a pirate would see from the porthole of his ship and what he would see from the window of his new house.
We will complete a thinking skill activity in PSE by discussing what a pirate would need.
Our creative sessions will be taken up with preparing our role play display linked to the sea.
In Welsh we will read two Flic and Flac books, Amser Snac, Snack Time and Yn Y Caffi, In The Cafe.
During Forest Schools we will prepare our allotment and plant potatoes, spring onions, lettuce and chives if the weather is fine.
In ICT we will play a counting fish game to practise our mouse control and our mathematical skills.
