We listened to and wrote about our favourite part of the story 'Dora's Eggs'.
We practised taking away using Easter eggs and singing 'Five Easter Eggs in a Chocolate Shop'.
We all really enjoyed the tennis taster session in the sunshine today. Flyers came home today with more information.
Reading books
Everyone is now bringing a reading book home and the children have been really excited about reading their books at home and in school. They all seem to be really enjoying the stories and the characters in the books.
Please bring the book bags in every Thursday with a comment in the reading diary. We understand that some weeks are busier than others, so if no bag is brought in, or if no comment is made, we will assume you need extra time with your book and we will not change it that week.
Please continue practising the high frequency words that have come home previously. It is important as they progress up the reading levels that they can read these without building and without hesitation.

About Down's Syndrome : Awareness Week 2016
On Monday the 20th March we are asking the children to wear odd socks to school to show our support for the beginning of Down's Syndrome Week.
We are not asking for any donations this year, but will be having an assembly to ensure that we raise awareness of the slogan for the week which is:
My Friends, My Community – what it means to be included
As you may be aware, our school community includes children with Down's Syndrome. Their inclusion in our community brings real benefits to us all and by wearing odd socks on Monday we wish to share the magic that comes from the inclusion of pupils with Down's Syndrome in our schools, communities and lives.
