What is planned for the week ahead?

As last week was so busy taking part in Eco activities and helping to raise funds for Children in Need, we will begin this week by completing some of our Divali activities.

We all freeze framed part of the story so will finish writing captions to go with our pictures.

Our divas need to be painted so that we can put a light in them just like they do in India.

New language work will be based on the story 'Best Friends or Not?' We will talk about what makes a good friend in Circle Time then think of two qualities each of our peer group has to make a qualities mobile. Would you please send in a child's small hanger to enable us to make the mobile.

In mathematics we will finish comparing the lengths of objects and start comparing tall and short things.

In Welsh we will continue to practise 'Beth sy yn y fasged?' which means 'What is in the basket?'

If the weather is not too wet we will make happy and sad faces out of leaves and sticks in our Forest Schools sessions.

As we are now busy practising our Christmas play on a daily basis, PE kit will not be needed until January.

Just a reminder that snack money for this half term is now due, £14.

Thank you for sending in a variety of things to help with our Eco activities last week.

We understand that there has been lots of discussion about the appropriateness of the content of last week's assembly to mark Rememberance Day.

We would like to assure you that the content was entirely suitable for primary school aged children and no child cried at any point during the school day.

A great deal of thought had been put into the assembly and the content was sensitively chosen.

If you are ever concerned about anything we do in school please come and see us directly. We are always willing to discuss your concerns.

We would like to reiterate what we feel as a school, that using social media to question school activities is not acceptable.
