The last half term of the year!

I hope you have all had a good week off and had lots of family time. This half term we will be continuing with our theme of 'Crawl, Wiggle & Dig'. We will be learning all about the insects and bugs we find in the garden. We will start the fortnight with activities relating to 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Activities include:

  • Completing the lifecycle of a caterpillar
  • Creating a non- fiction book about caterpillars
  • Making pastry caterpillars
  • Learning about bigger and smaller numbers
  • Remembering the properties of 3d shapes
  • Circle time - the importance of plants for insects
  • Welsh - matching the fruits the caterpillar ate with days of the week
  • PE - practising for Sports Day - PLEASE SEND TRAINERS IN
  • FOREST SCHOOL - going on a bug hunt
As we start a new half term, snack money of £7 is now due. Prompt payment would be appreciated.

Don't forget we are having a visit from 'Jonathan's Jungle' on Friday. Children will have the opportunity to hold bugs and insects, all of which are perfectly safe. If anyone would rather their child doesn't touch the insects, please let me know.

See you all tomorrow :)
