Over the next two weeks our focus tasks will be related to the stories 'Oliver's Fruit Salad' & 'Oliver's Vegetables'. Activities include:
- Making a fruit salad, recognising the steps involved, before sequencing sentences correctly to shell our alien friend Zog to make a fruit salad!
- Capacity lesson 1- children will learn all about empty, full, nearly full, nearly empty, fuller, less, more
- Capacity lesson 2 - children will look at different sized containers, predict which holds the most water, before working out a way checking
- Healthy eating - children will sort foods according to whether they are healthy or unhealthy, as well as learning about the importance of eating healthily
- Learning the names of fruit and vegetables in Welsh and matching them with the correct colours
- Making different fruits and salads, using the most appropriate collage materials
- Choosing their favourite fruit and putting the information onto a graph, using the 2simple programme. Children will learn how to 'read' the graph
- PE - Please remember trainers as children will be practising athletic type activities, including, running with correct posture, jumping and rolling
- FOREST SCHOOL - Children will prepare the allotment and plant radishes and beetroot
