Children In Need 2014

School Council and Mrs Rees met last week to discuss this year's CIN.  As you may be aware it is a Superhero theme again this year.  However, these heroes have a little twist to them!  Let us introduce you to this year's heroes...

The Baker!

 

We have decided that each class is going to take part in the Great Class Bake Off where they will plan, bake and decorate a class entry.  The theme is Creepy Crawlies and there is a total of 40 points up for grabs with 10 points in each criteria available.  The criteria are:

1. Creativity

2. Presentation

3. Texture

4. Taste

To enter the Bake Off we ask that each child give their teacher 20p to enter on Monday 10th November 2014.  We will be baking and decorating throughout the week in readiness for the judging on Friday 14th November. On the day we will have our very own Mary and Paul to decide the winning cake.  The winning class will receive a prize.  The cakes will then be sliced and sold at a cost of 30p a slice.

The Challenger!

Pupils will discuss and agree with their teacher a challenge they would like them to complete if we raise £500.

Captain Costume!

School Council have decided that this year's non-uniform themes will be either:

1. Super Hero

2. PJ's

3. Pudsey Bear

We have decided to ask for a dontation of 50p to wear non-uniform.

The Entertainer!

We have thought about lots of ways we could entertain one another.  We have decided to run a singing or music competition.  Fancy being the next Jessie J or John Legend?  Do you play an instrument or hold a fine tune?  If you answered yes to any of these questions then pay 20p to enter our talent show. Mrs Rees, Mrs Udy and Mrs Black will judge and there will be one musician winner and one singing champ.

In addition to this, School Council will also be creating a Bear-if-ic quiz for each class to take part in during the morning in their classes.  Each teacher will take on the role of Quiz Master.

On top of all these wonderful activities there will also be the following:

1. Face painting - 50p

2. Nail decorating - 20p

3. Bric-a-brac sale - if you have any unwanted books, toys, teddies, etc please bring them to Mrs Rees by Thursday 13th November.

4. Name the Teddy - 10p

5. Pudsey Bands - £1

As you can see we have lots of fun planned and I am sure we can raise lots of money for a very worthy cause.  Please send your child into school with some spare change next Friday (14th November 2014) so they can take part in a fun-filled day of fundraising.  Remember every penny counts.
