Over the next 2 weeks we will be looking at the story 'Monkey Puzzle' which is about a baby monkey who can't find his mother and our activities will be related to this in the lead up to Mothers' Day.
• Write about the story trying to spell words on our own
• Circle time - discussing the importance of staying with our parents
• Counting and ordering animals up to 20
• Taking 1 animal away
• The life cycle of a butterfly
• Making pastry butterflies and decorating them symmetrically
• Making a Mothers' Day card (shhh! its a secret)
Please can you all make sure that PE kits are in school on the correct day. There are still children who do not have them. If you are not sure which day please check in the classroom window.
Also £6 snack money is due. We have not had much money in yet and this could mean that we can't do nice activities like cooking if we don't have sufficient money to pay for the ingredients. Please pay as soon as possible. Many Thanks.
I will not be in school for the next week as I am accompanying the Year 6 pupils on their skiing trip. Mrs Francis will be teaching my class and the children are all very excited. I am sure they will have a lovely time.
Mrs Bannister
