St David's Day and World Book Day

We will be celebrating St David’s Day on Wednesday 5^th March.  We will have great fun singing and taking part in Art and writing competitions.  The children can come to school dressed in their Welsh costumes.

On Thursday the 6th of March we will be celebrating World Book Day.  This year the School Council have decided that the following fun activities will take place at our school:

* Children dress up as their favourite character from a book 

* Teachers to come dressed as a character chosen by the children

* Foundation Phase will take part in a Book Hunt organised by School Council

* A Book Quiz will be held for the KS 2 children

* Please bring to school any unwanted books for a Book Raffle.  The children will pay 10p for a raffle ticket to win a book.

Get your thinking caps on and reading lots of books. I'm looking forward to it already!
