A very big
welcome to the Reception Class.
The children
have all settled very well. Please
try to encourage them to come into class without you. This is part of their personal and social development and
will help them to become more independent.
During snack
time in the morning children will have the choice of water or milk along with
toast, raisins or fruit. In the afternoon, children will receive a drink of
water and a healthy drink. To cover the cost of snack we ask for a contribution
of £1 a week. For administrate purposes we ask that this is paid half termly.
This half term consists of eight weeks.
Dinners cost
£2.25 a day (£11.25) a week. Please pay for dinners on a Monday morning for the
week. Ensure money is in an envelope with your child's name on it. If your child
is absent from school, having paid for dinners, they will have a credit for
each day absent. The following week you can adjust your payments accordingly.
Out theme
this term is 'Wyt ti'n hapus?' (Are you happy?). Many of our activities will be
related to this. Amongst other things we will be completing activities relating
to parties and other happy events. We will also be completing seasonal
activities. Each fortnight the activities we will be completing with the
children will be put on the blog, this will allow you to prompt your child when
talking about what they have done in school.
Please ensure
all clothing is labelled clearly with your child's name - you will be
surprised what goes missing!!
PE is on Monday
and Wednesday and children should have their PE kit in school on these days. Please
bring named Welles into school as soon as possible so that we can begin our
forest school activities.
I will be out
of the class on a Thursday morning for Planning, Preparation & Assessment
(PPA). During this time Mrs Farrell will be the leader in Reception.
We are all
looking forward to getting to know and working with your children. If you ever
have any concerns throughout the year, however small please do not hesitate to
come in and see me.
