What we will be up to.

What we will be up to over the next two weeks!

We are well into our new theme of 'In the Garden'. Over the next two weeks our activities will be linked to sunflowers. Activities include:

•                Looking at non-fiction books about the life cycle of a sunflower

•               Completing a cutting and sticking activity of the life cycle of a sunflower

•               Following instructions to plant a sunflower seed

•               Labelling a sunflower

•               Recognising coins up to £1 and using them to buy flowers in the garden centre

•               Adding numbers up to 10

•               Collaging a sunflower using a variety of different seeds

•               Forest school - making sunflowers out of twigs, leaves and grass

•               Circle time activity - the importance of being kind and looking after others

•               Introducing the children to welsh vocabulary associated with the garden

We will also continue to practise for sports day. Hopefully the weather will remain dry and we can get down to the field - so don't forget. The trainers!
