Beside the seaside

As you are all aware we visited Porthcawl on April 19th and had a wonderful day.

The children (and adults!) were very well behaved and a credit to the school.

We had brilliant weather and it was perfect for our scavanger hunt at Coney Beach. We found something smooth, small, big, rough, short and long. We collected shells, pebbles and driftwood.

Then we looked out for features such as the fairground, coastguard tower and lighthouse.

At lunch time we travelled to Rest Bay where we searched in rockpools. We were lucky enough to find crabs and starfish. Our sandcastle building was a great success, two teams being joint winners.

We just had time for a well deserved icecream before returning to school.
