We listened to the story ‘The Blue Balloon’ by Mick Inkpen. We talked about filling balloons with air to make them bigger and then letting them go to see what would happen. We decided to find out if the amount of air in the balloon made any difference to the distance it would travel when we let it go. We predicted that the balloon with the most air would travel the furthest.
We measured the distance the balloons travelled using our feet. The balloon with the least air travel 11 feet but the balloon with the most air travelled 14 feet. Our prediction was correct!
We have also been learning about numbers. We collected 7 natural objects and then 8 unnatural objects. We wrote the numerals 7 and 8 using chalk.
Look out for more of our activities over the next few weeks.
