Welcome back
I hope you and your child have enjoyed the long holiday, even though the weather was disappointing. There are some things in the daily routine of the Reception Class of which you need to be aware.
Our theme this term is "Up ,up and away!" and we will be listening to stories about balloons, kites, flying and space, and carrying out activities linked to these things.
Your children will have accsess to the outdoor area throughout the day to enhance their physical development and more structured P.E. activities will be carried out on a Monday and Thursday. Please ensure your children have a kit consisting of a pair of navy shorts and a white tee - shirt in school on those days. A pair if wellingtons to be left in school for use in outdoor activities would be appreciated if your children's wellingtons are not already here. Please ensure that all belongings are clearly labelled to minimise risk of loss.
Snack money, £7.00 for this half term, is now due. Toast and milk or squash will be available mid- morning and a healthy snack and squash will be provided during the afternoon session.
We have discussed class rules, they are:
1. Listen first time
2. Be kind to friends
3. Listen when others are speaking.
Our sanctions are :
1. Being removed from an activity and sitting on a thinking chair for a short period of time.
2. Being sent to Head of Foundation Phase.
3. If sent to Head of Foundation Phase twice having a letter sent home reporting bad behaviour.
Our rewards consist of
1. Verbal praise
2. Stickers
3. Certificates
I hope we will have an enjoyable year, and if you have any concerns, don't hesitate to make an appointment to see us.
Thank you for your continued support.
